Wagnou Beefmaster

Beefmasters are for cattle farmers: they are adaptable, tough, and fertile. Beefmasters produce excellent weaner calves, but can also be made into oxen, as well as female animals are greatly used in reproduction.
The Beefmaster Breed is a combination of breeds: 50% Brahman, 25% Shorthorn and 25% Hereford. Beefmasters are the second largest South African Pedigree registered breed in South Africa with 68,000+ registered animals. Beefmasters perform excellently as a pure breed and breed exceptional cross-breed-calves.
The Wagnou Beefmaster Stud breeds quality Beefmaster Bulls in Namibia. Excellent genetics, mainly Bos Blanco- and WO-Studs, form the basis of our cattle stud.

At Wagnou we are committed to deliver quality bulls from our own region, ideal for Namibian grazing conditions. All Wagnou Bulls are raised extensively on the veld and are prepared for auction on the veld.

  • Wagnou Beefmaster Stud upholds the following standards:
  • At Wagnou, the paternity of all our stud calves (male and female) is DNA verified.
  • Weight records (birth, 7-, 12- and 18 months) are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Bulls are strictly selected and screened according to performance data and visual judgment.
  • All bulls are tested and certified for soundness and venereal diseases.

Wagnou Boerdery is situated 100 km North of Gobabis on the C22 Route. Feel free to stop for coffee!
