Namibian Stud Breeders excel with record sales at the Paresis Production Auction in Otjiwarongo.
For the first time in the history of the Paresis Production Auction, the progeny of a World Champion Bull could be offered. Amongst the latter, the highest priced Limousin Bull was sold for N$160,000 and a Limousin cow with calf for N$190,000. This was a new record sale not only for Paresis Production Auction, but also in Namibia. These exceptional achievements were attained by Eandro Lottering, from the Golden Sun Limousin Stud. Many thanks to the buyers of these record sales, Waterberg Agri Trading.
Another special accomplishment was obtained in the Charolais breed, selling the most expensive Charolais bull in Namibian Auction History for a staggering N$150,000 – with an average of N$120,400 for five Charolais Bulls – earned by the Waldoring Charolais stud: Waldo and Ellie Lottering. A special thanks to MUDGE CATTLE CORP CC, as well as Mr. Makuke Makuke from Botswana, for your purchases and continuous support.
More excellent sales include a Santa Gertrudis Bull for N$106,000 by stud breeder Henner Wilckens and N$98,000 for a Sussex Bull by stud breeder Werner Bader. The average price of the 23 females and (80of 90) bulls sold, was a solid N$58,447 – with a turnover of approximately N$6.4 million. This is due to arecord number of 100 bulls and 24 breeding females that were entered, with pens packed at maximum capacity. The biggest auction held at Paresis, to date.
